Japanese, born in Japan in 1959.

Started photography at the age of sixteen.

Later became influenced by the American photographer,

 David Doubilet, and since the 1980s

 began to take photographs mainly of the sea and the underwater world.

He has presented a wide range of unknown sceneries of the sea,

 and is traveling the world over to take photographs of the seas around, so that

 lots of precious scenes of Nature that are disappearing from the earth can be

 enjoyed by coming generations.

He currently contributes to many Japanese magazines on their covers and features,

 and has some photograph and essay pages of his own.
