< Lover's Beach >
The beach at the "Arch Rock" leads to the "Lover's Beach". The two rocks separate this "Lover's Beach" from the "Divorce Beach" lying behind them. The Beaches are named after a legend of a daughter of an Admiral and her lover, a native man. The “Lover's Beach” is where they have spent their time together, and the “Divorce Beach” is where the Admiral had shot the man to death.
アーチ・ロックと地続きのこの浜は、二つの岩を境に、手前側を「ラバーズ･ビーチ」、向こう側を
「デボース(離婚)・ビーチ」と呼ぶ。かつてコルテス艦隊の提督令嬢が現地の青年と恋に落ち、
密会を重ねたのが「ラバーズ･ビーチ」。
提督の手によって青年が射殺されたのが「デボース・ビーチ」の由来といわれている。
